Dear Family, I am so sorry about your loss. I visited with Ms. Louise at Trinity Village
where my mother is a resident. She was always so dressed up and attractive
and I admired her so much. I loved to hear her talk about her life.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Doug, My sincere sympathy. I thought the world of your Mom and Dad.
She was a wonderful lady and he was every pilot's hero. They thought the
world of us too, as we of the CAF were chosen to lay him to rest after a long
and courageous fight. What an honor. I miss you and the good times we had.
Hope everything is going well for you otherwise.

Condolence to family. I grew up across street from Meroney family at 8th and Beech.
Virgle was about 3 years older but rember him on football team.
Just before he was commisoned in US Army Air Force as was custom in those days,
FBI agent came to our house to check on his reputation and chackter--needles
to say he was given and outstanding recommendation. After I entered service
later never saw family again. In 1948 my fmily moved into house across street
where the Meroney family had lived.

Valerie Thompson To the Meroney Family, May each of you find comfort in
knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart;
and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34;18)
He has promised to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe the tears from all faces."
(Isaiah 25;8) Take care,

It was an honor to have met and had Mrs. Meroney as a resident while I worked at TVMC.
Mrs. Meroney was the role model for all us in the south to aspire to be like.
Her wisdom, kindness, love and devotion will not be forgotten.
I believe we are all better people for having her in our lives.
As she prayed daily for my son in the Marines,
I shall pray for your family for comfort, peace and understanding.
Thank you for sharing her.

My deepest sympathy. I had the honor to appear with members of the
Confederate Air Force in Virgil's military ceremony.
My family and the Merony family had a close, honorable relationship since
before my birth in 1932. I also had the honor to meet Mrs. Meroney in later years.
